Artist, Illustrator, podcaster and all-round nerd. Loves delicious sandwiches, and I also design board games!
Ive been drwaing since I was very little...
Growing up in suburbia Pennsylvania, I have always had supportive parents and a great older brother, that have pushed me hard to pursue art. For college, i attended Tyler School of Art, the art branch of Temple University in Philly, and graduated with a degree in Illustration. Yet, for all my years of schooling, the greatest lesson I learned was that "art doesn't need to be right, it just needs to feel right"
This is important for me because for so long I would get stuck on nitty-gritty details (even socially), that in the end were not worth focusing on. The finished piece and how a composition comes together is far more important. I continued pursuing my art out of school, but art as a profession is HARD (as I'm sure many of you know). So for many years I worked in tech to pay the bills, and kept my art as a side venture.
Then, soon after moving to LA, myself and some longtime friends of mine got together, and decided to give designing board games a go. We also liked nerd culture in general, so decided to start podcasting while trying to get our first game off the ground. Four and a half years later, and the game was done! Of course, since there were so few of us, it fell to em to do all of the artwork for our game. And this is where my passion for "Art-for-Print" began.
And now, here I am! Making goofy art, inspired by the things I love, for other people to share and enjoy. So welcome to my Artist Shop; take some time to browse if you can, and have a good one!
PS: Thanks Threadless for making this possible!
PPS: Look back every week, as I awill continue to add new art!
